For anyone who has not heard, here's my big announcement: I successfully defended my dissertation on Thursday, June 4!

What an intense event! Thanks for sharing so many of the details for those of us who hope to join you as future doctoras; they're instructive for me. I'm wondering how you're feeling now, a week later after so much work and this culminating moment.

As someone who as at the defense, I can honestly say that when professor #3, as you put it (and I copy) asked you to: "re-frame the entire dissertation around the work of a particular researcher." I was surprised. I can tell you, as someone sitting there, that's exactly how it felt.

Seriously, we're defending the dissertation, now is not the time to bring that up. If that's what you really think, you should've brought that up a little earlier...

But you did a GREAT job! We are so proud to have another doctor in the house =)
