Love makes people ACT stupid. You're not stupid. Being stupid would mean not realizing that this is unhealthy.

In my opinion, I think you should cold-turkey the contact with him for a little while. He's very obviously taking advantage of you and doesn't realize how incredibly wonderful he has it--because of you. If you were suddenly gone it might dawn on him.

And if it doesn't, then he's a dirtbag--and at least you have a head-start on the healing process.

I'm sorry you're going through this... It's absolutely despicable. If it helps any, I kind of get it; I can empathize. I'm just thankful I know I deserve better--and so do you.

Thank you for the advice! I know I should get a backbone but it's really hard. He's been my rock for two years and now I don't know how to do this without him! I know I deserve better and that's why I signed up for EHarmony... to find someone who does know what they have. I'm trying to stop talking to him, but it's hard when we have kids together. :/
