Deodorant = breast cancer?

Mar 04, 2007 19:17

A trusted scientist and colleague that I work very closely to was talking to a research scientist friend of hers who informed her of a connection being discovered in malignant breast tissue and aluminum salts in that tissue. Apparently, in a study that this friend was privy to, all of the malignant breast tissues recovered (from men and women) had ( Read more... )

i use a natural one called Toms of Maine i think...its awesome. been using it for years because of the al in the other shit. the down side is..sometimes its hard to find, it can be a little pricey, and you have to slather on a lot and keep it with you all the time. it also helps to drink a lot of water so you dont smell when you perspire. its ok to sweat.. but you can mask the smell by staying healthy and drinking lots of h2o

:)

I've used the Tom's one before. I like it. I think I found that I didn't need to apply the Adidas one as much tho. It's even at WalMart. But yes, you're right. I do need to drink more h2o.

Yep, I've considered this for about ten years. I always go back and forth on the subject and on the deodorants. There's so much information and speculation about cancer, though... I've seen stuff about calcium, aluminum (soda) cans, about micro-virii, about cancer not existing in alkaline, about chemtrails in big cities, and on and on. Too much info.

The chemtrails thing is a load of crap, and who knows about the soda cans? I mean if there was that much concern Coke would be crazy (and other companies) to roll the dice on aluminum extractability and tissue uptake from the can because they could be taken for millions of dollars if it turned out to be conceivable medically. I'd imagine they've done their share of long-term studies.

The deodorant thing tho I'm pretty sure it can't be that good for you. Just imagining the distance from armpit skin to deep breast tissue and that it's migrating that far is scary.
