I've deleted the comments and responses from my post about wanting a "normal" boyfriend because I've decided that I don't have room for that type of negativity in my life. I don't know how many times I can reiterate this and only hope that people can understand: People act differently under extreme emotional stress. They make different decisions

You deserve someone "normal"- healthy and well-rounded. Especially since you're getting your shit together.

There are well-rounded people in the world who know how to balance fun and responsibility. Unfortunately, in this little alcoholic disfunctional drama-filled college town it is hard to meet men like that.

I know, and the thing is that Jake and I have had hard times but I don't know if it outweighs the good right now. I don't know if I'm willing to potentially drive a wedge between us yet if this is just maybe a tough time. He definitely stood by me during hard times, but now he's mentioned that there always seems to be a problem with one of us. It's never just been smooth. :(
