So in the last several weeks, I've put a  total of slightly more than two grand into fixing my car which has needed service twice now.  If my car continues to have problems, I'm selling it.  No point in putting countless money into a car that's going to crap out on you on a regular or semi-regular basis.

For some reason my computer is not allowing me to view my LiveJournal.  I can access the site fine, but logging into my journal or anyone on my friends list just gives me an error.  I thought this was a caching problem and deleted my cookies numerous times but that doesn't seem to work.  Apparently I can still type a journal but I'll be damned if I ( Read more... )

The holidays were good; had a nice Christmas, spent some time with the family, etc.  I ended up voluntarily working on Christmas night but only for a few hours.  For Christmas I received a new toy to play with, a 60gig iPod!  I've been spending my time ripping music from all my CDs and putting it on this little media player.  This thing is super ( Read more... )

Those two extra hours every day at work are murder, but I can certainly appreciate having an extra day off.  By the time it's 7am, I'm ready to go home as the next shift people show up to take over, but I'm stuck there with usually nothing to do for two more hours.  Yet at least I get Friday nights off.  Funny how some things work?  Actually from ( Read more... )

It took months, but I'm finally getting a new and better schedule.  Effective the Monday after Thanksgiving, I'll be working nights Sat-Tues 11pm-9am.  This means I get Wed-Fri off.  I'm happy!  Of course it would be better if I could get Saturday nights off but I'm not going to push it.  At least with this schedule I'll be able to enjoy my Friday ( Read more... )

Went to a Halloween party this past Saturday hosted by some old friends of mine from college.  I had a pretty good time and it was nice to have a Saturday off from work...especially when that Saturday involves a messy time-change that causes all the TV schedules to go crazy.  I didn't miss that headache.  Here is my costume in all of its glory:
