I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by.  It seems just like yesterday I was passed out in my friend's bathroom celebrating the arrival of 2006.  I can't say I'm going to miss this year too much; it really hasn't been a good year.  I'm still reeling from losing both my aunt and my dog.  And despite finally moving out of the 'rents' house ( Read more... )

So for those not aware I signed a one-year lease to live at that apartment complex I wrote of in recent posts.  This past Saturday I bought some bare necessities, like furniture and a 43-inch HDTV complete with a DVD player and surround sound...can't live without that.  So now I'm broke.  But at least I'll be a happy broke.

Housewarming kegger -

I don't think I've been to the movie theaters since Batman Begins came out and that was almost a year ago.  My hiatus from movie-going may end this weekend as the new X-Men movie is coming out.  I plan on seeing it!

I think I may finally be getting a place of my own.  Today I took my dad out to see this apartment complex off of LaVista called "Sloan Square".  It's a nice, quiet complex which happens to be relatively close to everywhere I want to be.  The rent may be a little steep but there is no gas bill, a relatively cheap water/electric bill and each  ( Read more... )

I bought the bullet the other day and decided to buy a new digital camera. It's a Canon Powershot S70 with 7.1 megapixels. It was on clearance at Wolf Camera and it uses the same batteries and memory cards my old camera uses. It's a lot like my old camera but a little fancier. Can't wait to get some use out of it!

These past few weeks have unfortunately been a whirlwind of bad events.  I just returned today from my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA to bid farewell to my favorite aunt and one of the most loving and caring people I have ever known, Janet W. Plantz.  She passed away this past Friday (the 7th) after a weeklong bout with Leukemia.  Although I've lost ( Read more... )
