as far as mich/msu goes... michigan doesnt even have journalism really soooo i mean if thats what youre seriously considering, i think the choice is a little easier. because employers won't care if you went to u of m if you're trying to get a journalism job since you won't have as good of clips and experience and stuff.
BUT that's just if you're seriously considering journalism.
i think you'd be happy either place. : )

Secondly, just something to think about, yes UofM has the name, but that name is known for certain programs. A journalism degree from UofM doesn't have the same weight as one from MSU. If you're set on going into journalism, it is important to strongly consider which school has a better program. That should be one of the determining factors. That, and of course where you will be happy at. Happiness is key.
EIther way, you're going to great things no matter what. Don't stress.

whatever degree you get for undergrad doesn't matter as long as you have experience. So if you come to Michigan and work for the Michigan daily, that's still good than if you get a journalism degree from State but didn't do anything.
but if you do decide to switch out of journalism...i say you'd be pretty screwed with options at state. whereas I still want to do journalism and I"m just majoring in English. oh baby.
