Yuletide is a project for the promotion of fanfiction written for obscure fandoms. Everything is Illuminated is on the nominations list, so anyone who wants to should go and vote for it before the 19th of October.  For more information on it, there's also an LJ community.

Apologies to anyone who may have already seen this magazine article about the making of "Everything is Illuminated." Unfortunately, it doesn't go too in depth about the movie itself, but I do love the photos.

I picked up this book a couple of years ago at a local library..I was drawn to the cover, loved it, then a few weeks ago I realized there was a movie! -laughs- I quite liked it.

I got the DVD today & I watched right away because I am pretty lame.

There are so many chapters in EII that are titled "Falling in Love", yet Jonathan himself seems removed from or reluctant to love, as we see in his conversation with Alex about "being carnal" and in the way he writes about his grandfather, who Jonathan does not permitted to love the Gypsy girl, as Alex says.
