"What do you want?"
I walked backwards while I went down the aisle for the chips and other snack stuff, since Carly was headed for the soda. Might as well make it a short trip. We're supposed to be picking up snacks to eat after making out watch movies with at her house, before I have to go meet up with Madsen and Nick, and she has to get sucked

I want us to skip the snacks and go straight to my house for the making out movie watching. This is cutting into our time together, and we're not getting very much of it today. But we'd probably get hungry after we worked up an appetite with all the...watching, so making this stop is good. We'll be able to enjoy what time we do have together a lot better if we're not starving because my Mom is on a vegan kick.
I just want more time with my boyfriend. Its hard trying to juggle everything. School, play tryouts, friends, and my boyfriend. My boyfriend is pretty much the most important one on the list, and we're cheating each other out on the fun today ( ... )

Well, he'd be here to shop, wouldn't he? It feels like so long since I've seen him, it's strange, I guess. He looks older. I still wish he hadn't have left home. I think we could have worked it out.
Anthony was very out of line, but I've been starting to get him to work on his drinking, which is what gives him such a temper. It's caused a few problems, but I can get to him. He is a good man, even if he is a bit rough with our children. He can learn to change. All kinds of people change.
Sam looks like he doesn't know what to say. I wonder why? "How are you?" I smiled at him, trying to be friendly despite how he was behaving.
"I'm fine... How're you?"
"Just fine."
"I forgot to tell you to get Sour Patch kids."... Who's this ( ... )

Thank God.
I didn't want Carly meeting her, but still, thank God. I don't want to have this conversation by myself. I don't really want to talk to her at all. She might tell my father she's seen me, and then... I don't know. I like him acting like I don't exist, and for the most part as far as I know, he does.
But I don't think I know how to just walk away from her, so I have to stick it out. It just doesn't feel right. She's my mother, what she let happen aside.
And I know that sounds crazy, but I can't help it.
"Sorry, I hope I'm not interrupting."
"Not at all."
Believe me, you came at a good time. Maybe you can even help me get out of here in a few minutes without saying something wrong, or just walking away.
"I'm Carly."
"I'm Maria, Sam's mother."
Somehow, I almost wish they weren't being nice to each other. But Mom doesn't know how to be anything else, aside from indifferent, or not even there. So it'd just mostly be Carly pulling anything.
"Are you two dating?""No." Damn ( ... )

No, Maria, in case you haven't noticed, you're no mother. Mothers protect their children from their violent psychotic husbands, you didn't. So you really have no right to call yourself that, especially when you consider how things got so bad that Sam can't live in your home anymore, and is constantly worried about your daughter.
...I need to just smile and behave myself, and make sure I don't say a word of it out loud, but if she's a mother, no one should have one.
"Are you two dating?"
No, I'm incredibly slutty at sixteen, and I do this with everyone I know.
"No."
...What?
"I mean... Yeah. Yeah, we are. For a while, now."
That's better. Well, no, not really. He's getting quiet. I don't think its good that he's getting quiet. I think he's upset, and there's nothing he can do about it with her right here, because he probably doesn't want her to see that. And that would explain the thing about us not dating, too.
So he's trying, but he can't figure out what to do with himself.
"Well that's nice. ( ... )
