...Sherlock was putting two and two together and getting a four that looked so unlike any other four he had ever seen in the entire universe that he wondered if it wasn’t really a letter, or perhaps a shape, or maybe even some sort of animal - an octopus, squid-y thing - not a number.
This line is completely ingenious... as the whole bloody fic!!!!))))) you've just made my day, seriously))

I was about to quote exactly the same line! It's fantastic and I can almost see a mini version of Sherlock inside his brain, looking at this really bizarre 4... (OK, now I want to see that, but sadly, I cannot draw)
Also, totally understand the Mycroft/Lestrade, since you explained it, we need moooaaarrr- and Sherlock teasing his brother is always fantastic.
Fabulous fic! MOar? Please?

Hee! I'm glad you two enjoyed that line. I was actually kind of considering cutting it, because my metaphors are /weird/, generally (notice: my terrible PB&J one at the end ;D), so it's excellent to hear that you enjoyed it! ;D

Also, on another note, watch me use your icon to fangirl you. (These things are /awesome/. ;D)

Thanks!

Again, I'm glad you liked that line because I was going to cut it originally. ;D

The Holmes brothers' relationship is actually one of my favorite things in fandom. ;D

*blushes* Thanks again. ;D

Exactly! I really love what Moffatt and Gatiss (well, primarily Gatiss, of course, but Moffatt wrote him first, and first impressions are important ;D) have done with Mycroft. The siblings relationship there is just so awesome and important to the show ...

I am TOTALLY down with this pairing. And I do love a good PB&J.

(and I am also from New England and occasionally say y'all. *fistbump of solidarity*)

Thank you very much!

Hee! More conversions! ;D

YES. I just pulled my little sister over here and kind-of squeaked incoherently while showing here that OTHER PEOPLE FROM NE SAY Y'ALL TOO, DARNIT, and she needs to stop making fun of me now. ;D *returns fistbump*

Haven't finished reading yet but was amused that Sherlock came to the conclusion that the man was from Manchester because of the Manchester United pin since the old joke is that the only way to prove that someone -isn't- from Manchester is to ask if they're a United fan (according to popular assumption, true Mancunians must support either Manchester City or 'any club other than Manchester United or Liverpool) *coughs* I'll get back to reading now- I'm so glad someone wrote MH/GL *shuffles off*

Thanks!

*headesk* I think I'll go back and fix that, then. Thanks for the heads-up! Argh, I knew my non-Britishness was going to show itself in embarrassing ways ... I was trying to research it, I really was! Wikipedia told me so ...
