All that heartache and long hours of psyching myself really paid off - I did FANTASTIC in the race! I'm truly beginning to show glimmers of my old magnificence. I never took running for granted before, so it's odd the Great Spirit chose the deprivation of it as a lesson. But now I REALLY don't take it for granted. I raise my hands up and yell and shout in praise for the ability to run every single day, not because I feel like I have to, but that I'm still overjoyed over the fact that I can run.

Yeah...I don't know why I said Russia. Though the Vikings did have a rather permanent and long-lived settlement up there and did mingle with the Russians, so why not?
