So i saw this article in the chronicle about this guy who committed suicide a few doors down from where i live (here in Davis). The interesting bit was that apparently 85% of suicides are male, and no one really cares. There are a bagillion experts in female suicide, and not even one in male suicide. So for anyone who's wondering what the hell i do, i'm giving a talk at the LUGOD meeting tomorrow. I'll be bringing in my microcontroller to do a demo. I finally got my baby. Once i get some more of my boards built at work (all done, need to go en-masse now) i'm going to make a custom security device. Going to have to talk to the mechanic on what some good signals to tap would be, but i've got a few ideas. I think it needs to have a voice too. I have reversed my position on the Cantina. It is in fact, a great spot... especially for drinking. Ah but no, i still don't drink alcohol... but i enjoy greatly their draft rootbeer. Very dark, strong, and you can really taste it. My only regret is i haven't had the courage yet to ask for it with ice cream. Yum

How is it i end up as council for everyone, in both my real life and virtual life? Most curious, i suppose i should be glad my personality is congruent. :P

I took a bike ride this weekend over to impossible acres. Despite roasting in the heat, the trip was well worth it as always. Some of the best peaches to be found there for a really good price, 50 cents a pound, and you get to pick them right off the tree.
