Oh, I wish I could have seen that! We have a pair of Great Horned Owls that live in the woods next to my house, you can hear them frequently, but I don't get to see them that often.

And, of course, I loved the story. I can totally see Booth doing this- and giving her something so precious that she would love. It really made me choked up.

Great Horned Owls are truly amazing. I've seen them very rarely around here, though I know they're common in the mountains. We've had screech owls nest in the neighborhood before, though. Eeriest cry ever.

Sometimes people do horrible things to animals.

And sometimes ... Booth's gaze tracked out over the tree-covered mountains where a newly healed owl hunted its dinner.

Sometimes they don't. So simply put and yet it brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for sharing this. :)
