Bones Fic: The Truth Between the Lies

As ridiculous as Pelant may be, the finale is the first episode in a long time that's made me at all interested in writing fic. It's been a long dry spell, and it feels good to be back at my keyboard, despite the raging (and mostly ignored) to-do lists howling at my shoulder.

No, it's best you don't. HH and company delight in the squashing of hopes and the thwarting of plans. This is why I have to write. It's the only guaranteed path to things making sense with this show anymore. I'm glad you liked the story. Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know.

I'm with Demonbrat. But I don't trust Hart and Co. Will Pelant notice the interruption of signal? Will he figure out why? And will Brennan be able to continue acting as she was, now knowing, but not specifically, why Booth is acting the way he is and did what he did? I hope they clean up the Pelant arc ASAP in Season 9 'cause I really, really hate that guy.

Hee. You're just full of questions, aren't you. :)

I hope they clean up the Pelant arc, as well. Reviews of the finale (and Pelant's part in it), were pretty much negative, but then the Hannah storyline got universally panned, too, and it took most of a season to get rid of her, so I'm very carefully not getting my hopes up.

Still, we've seen hints, here and there, of the B&B of old in these last few episodes. I'm choosing to grab hold of those with both fists and hold on for dear life. Care to join me?

This was lovely and your Bones was so very Bones-y! I'm so glad Booth got through to her (even though this is the lamest obstacle they've thrown at us yet). I really like Booth talking her through the evidence and him remembering their first dance together. :)

Aww, thanks! I'm glad it worked for you. I agree wholeheartedly that this was the lamest obstacle yet, but hey, at least it's ripe for fic-fodder. That's more than we've gotten from most of this season's episodes.

I really like Booth talking her through the evidence and him remembering their first dance together. :)

And it had the added benefit of giving me an excuse to go back and watch an old episode. That's an opportunity not to be missed.

I'm late to the party- sorry about that! I do like this- and good grief! It just makes so much sense that he would let her know- supposedly he trusts her! Thanks for straightening it all out!

There's no such thing as being late to one of my parties. Those just aren't the kind of parties I host. :)

It does make sense that he would find a way to tell her, doesn't it? I just ... if nothing else, how would he be able to bear seeing what his news was doing to her?
