Yes, another chapter! Kon really doesn't get Tim at all. Tim, meanwhile, is acting like a kidnappee. Poor Tim really, really doesn't want to be here, but he isn't going to do anything that would invalidate the contract keeping Gotham safe. And poor Kon just doesn't get why Tim is so hostile.

Look at it this way, Kon: If they had informed you they were giving custody of you to Luthor as part of the treaty, how would you feel? That's pretty much how Tim feels. Being a suspicious little bat, he expects you to be controlling and force him to do things he really doesn't want to do with you, up to an including in bed, and he feels like he has no recourse. He's gonna be hostile.

Fortunately, all us fans know that once they relax, they're gonna hit it off big time, and all will be well!

Awwwww. When Kon finally gets hit with a clue bat (hehe "bat" oh puns) and realizes all that he's going to be so adorable. And Timmy can be too self-sacrifing for his own good. Most of the bats for that matter. Silly boys. Thanks again for reading and commenting. Comments make me so happy. Then I squee. And then my roommates whack me over the head with a pillow.

Nice work, I like this chapter. It actually reminds me of a scene from Beauty and the Beast, where Belle locks herself in her room and refuses to come out.

Yah, Beast definitely popped into my head when I was writing this. Kon just has a little better handle on the anger management issue. Beauty and the Beast (and Cupid and Psyche since it's so similar) was always my favorite fairy tale, probably because they have to work at 'true love' it doesn't just land in their laps.
