We are considering this plan.I really like this plan. It is a good size, not too big, not too small. Very little closet space, but yet there is a lot of storage space built into the walls. My biggest problem with most floor plans is wasted space. This plan has very little of that

VERRRY interesting! I have long loved the idea of alternative building materials. This seems like it would hold up well with your particular climate. Those are some thick walls!! I love all the natural light incorporated into the plan, and the built in outdoor fireplace and wood bin, on the patio. I hope you manage to get your dreamhouse some year soon!

Ahh, thanks! I love it all. My husband has been a big green building fan for some time. He is typically well before the time in this kind of stuff. I am just starting to read about it and understand it. I am really most excited about what we would be able to do on our own. I think it would be great to actually play a large role in the building of our house :)

Well dear, you're talking to an old do it yourselfer from way back. I've been a great fan Of The Mother Earth News since the mid-70's. I garden, craft up a storm, cook from scratch, bake bread , ( no machine ), and have fantasized building my own home for a good long while. It's all about using your imagination and creativity, plus some blood, sweat, and tears to make something unique, green, and personal. It's also about quality control. I know where you're coming from, and hope you are able to realize your dreams.
