Hit Sedona for your first sunset. They will be much more dramatic than the Grand Canyon and there is less chance of haze that can ruin the Canyon shots. It is also just a 2 hour drive from the airport. Anything further north you will miss the sunset altogether. You will probably want to research the Sedona area because there are tons of options to shoot. These shots are from my trip through in January... I hit Sedona and Oak Creak Canyon on the 89A which if you keep following will lead you to Page.

There is a ton to choose from up there... painted desert, monument valley, and slot canyons (which are incredible).
