Our last full day in Phoenix, we decided to have some fun rather than work on the house. I luckily had seen on the news the night before that Chihuly (amazing glass artist) had an exhibit at the botanical gardens... we found a place to drop off the Gizmo and were on our way.

Class today was great. We had studio time but our bodies were pretty tired by 1pm so we cleaned up and headed to Twisted Root for lunch.

So this evening I am wandering around YouTube watching some videos on Pottery throwing... this one amazed me.

So, last Sunday Mom's and I went to the Dallas Arboretum. I was sad that I missed the tulips, will have to remember next year that they bloom in early March. It was a windy ass day but still beautiful.

Boy was it a full day. We woke up pretty early and I shot a few pictures of the view off our deck which was incredible. Snow on the red rock... just a little but it was still cool. Most of it is still there today ( Read more... )

I went to the Desert botanical gardens the last weekend in January before my membership expired. I took the new tripod set up, which I love. I wanted to shoot some truly macro shot's with the new lens but the freezing cold that month really did a number on the plants.

The one thing I adore about Dallas is the food. I eat at amazing restaurants while I am there. I have yet to eat at a chain. I drink so much there I tend not to when I get home because I am just sick of drinking. Well, and I drink very expensive wine and it is hard to go back to the cheap stuff ( Read more... )
