Just watched this week's episode of Bleach. I think the director takes the same aproach to directing as I do DMing, "I'm bored of this storyline, let's start a completely different one with no lead-up. Damnation.

Man, british TV is lots different from american. Started watching Torchwood, a female character actually tells her fiance to "go an' have a pint, relax" You never see an american tv woman tell her man that he needed a drink.

I think I've got Sean beat on the weird dreams department. I was a beholder. Where the hell did that come from? Eye ray powers used: disintegrate, telekinesis, flesh to stone, charm person. That's pretty good for my subconscious.

so, I'm a huge nerd and have been contemplating how lightsabres might work. The best I can come up with is some sort of standing wave. However, a standing wave would require some sort of reflective surface at the end to work out.
