My friend Doreen asked this question in her LJ and it has been really rolling around in my head a lot.  What do I hope for this upcoming 4/8 years?

I'll tell you one thing I'd like.  To no longer see soldiers' names on "This Week's In Memorium" - you know, young people in their 20s.

But that's a flippant remark, as I have This Week on right now.

Dave and I went over to the Red Mountain branch of the Mesa library at 10:30 this morning.  There was no line, though people were voting.  We got checked in, signed the registration book, and got our ballots.  I had my sample ballot marked up, so I just copied onto my official ballot, and was done in less than two minutes.  I'm glad I took the time ( Read more... )

Also, Sarah Palin was funny on SNL last night.  Mark Wahlburg was funnier.  But Amy Poehler owned it.

And her attitude seems better.

Next week does not bode so well.
