Dave is back home....they moved him out of the ICU yesterday afternoon, and he kept improving.  He was "tube free" by 11:30 last night (his IV had infiltrated, and they just decided not to put another one in.  He was awake for a lot of the night and ate a decent breakfast (he shunned his hospital food, and ate half of my breakfast burrito)....he ( Read more... )

My husband is back in the hospital, this time with acute renal failure.  I wasn't able to sufficiently wake him up on Tuesday night (he'd wake and then fall right back asleep), so I called 911 and off we went.  His kidneys had shut down for some reason and he wasn't flushing all of his medications out of his body.  They think it was caused by a ( Read more... )

"In Treatment" just slays me, it's so good.  Gabriel Byrne is just amazing and the new patients this time out are so compelling.  I like the new format (two episodes Sunday, three Monday) and I'm so glad HBO got smart and renewed it.
