A bit about zombies

I have been contemplating the plagued existance of zombies and just what it is that makes them as they are... for instance: why is it that when a perfectly normal being dies and comes back as a zombie, they are suddenly much stronger than they were before? I believe there are (at least) two different types of nerves. I am pretty sure that pain nerves are seperate from motor skill nerves... I believe there is also a different set of nerves to feel temperature(which might explain why they react(sometimes) when caught on fire.
