I am having a somewhat otherworldly experience of the coronavirus at the moment. In 24 minutes the Prime Minister and the Health Minister are likely to come out with a mandatory closure of all schools... with no real plan for online learning. Do you think we can make free reading and watching "Drain the Oceans" count for the last 2 months of 8th, 6th and 2nd grades? Meanwhile, we're on A/B teams at work starting on Monday, and Nathan is home full time. Our apartment isn't that big, and I worry that we don't have enough food. Plus, it all feels really strange and surreal still.

This is not fun.

Not a bit. I wonder if your schools will extend the year? I don't think ours will, since they're doing the Virtual Day thing, but you never know.

I think the only consolation is that if our kids get a truncated school year... everyone else is, too, and will understand (and hopefully accommodate going forward).

We definitely don't have enough food. And I just checked the delivery service. The nearest available delivery is... 24 March! (Insert laughing/crying emoji here.) I'm tempted to sign up for it just to have the spot, honestly.
