kindness

People who are kind and gentle are often accused of being fearful, timid and hesitant.

I hereby resign from the group that would so categorize.

I would posit that people who are genuinely kind are taken advantage of by those who are fearful, timid and hesitant.

Kindness is such an grand virtue that I think it is beyond the capacity of many men to conceive of it in its purest form.

I know it exists. I've witnessed it.

Genuine and pure kindness may exist on a case-by-case basis.
I doubt that any one is kind in every opportunity.
Regular dispensing of kindness could gain one the moniker: kind.
Every person takes advantage of kindness at some level at various times.
It may or may not be wrong depending on need, motive and result.
It is right to desire that good come of kindness . . .
that its reception not be an abuse of the gift . . .
that human-ness is not made less for the exchange.
While kindness is often mistaken for weakness
it is among the greatest of strengths
and its abuse among the lowliest of weakness.
Love returns kindness for kindness - not of payment, but of gratitude.

Thanks Cathy - you are generous in your assessment.
In looking over this, I think I should have made my reply to your reply the post rather than the original. I put more thought into it because of your reply. :) . Be the care in this world . . . as you are able of course.
