I'm still alive. It's just that tumblr is luring me away with all the pretty things.

as time goes by
As I type this in the comfort and confines of my room, there are people all over the world possibly fighting for their lives. Yes, the buzzwords these days would be 'Japan' and 'tsunami' and even random people are speaking of 'nuclear meltdown'. movie marathon
The only good thing about this Soci mod is that I'm being forced to watch movies and to watch them with an unprecedented frequency.

now i lay me down to sleep

busy body
Here's what I learnt from attending a lecture by the dodgy Soci lecturer today:
1. We live in a strongly consumerist culture where identity is often tied to possessions.
2. We often judge people based on what they can afford to buy/ spend on.
3. Somehow he linked consumerism to gender issues .. bring on the feminist theories. -.-
