Star Trek
Last weekend, I watched the most recent - and likely final - Star Trek reboot movie, Star Trek BeyondI loved it, of course. It was bittersweet, this being the first film since Leonard Nimoy's passing and so close after the sudden death of Anton Yelchin. (20 days older than me. Return of the Face!Alien
I got some bad news today. The cyst in my jaw has recurred.
For those of you who don't know, in September 2010, my dentist discovered an enormous cyst in the bone of my jaw on the left hand side, as a result of my wisdom tooth being a really dumb place (embedded in my jaw where it really should not have been). Perspective
As I walked down to my car this evening on my way out of work, in the half-light and the drizzle, I looked out across Bolton. In the misty light of the streetlamps (still mostly orange), the darkening sky looked purple and the buildings were hazed and indistinct.
