I can't even tell you how excited I am that you and Dina have made it!! Despite all odds and crazy road blocks: YOU MADE IT!!! Woot indeed!!! Take a moment and full enjoy that momentous occasion friend.
It's funny, even though I've made it this far I'm still a little scared to fully rejoice in the fact that I accomplished this goal - once my paperwork is approved through the College I will definitely do my happy dance!
It's nice to have a bit of time to readjust before getting on with work, but as you well know, the To Do's are endless and I still need to study for the CMRE. One bite at a time - it's how I got this far, right?
I am purposefully not looking under my couches. Too scared, and well aware that I am too uncomfortable to pick all that sh&& up and it would just make me crankyyyyyy! And hooray for your homecoming as a full fledged midwife!
Yes, there are some things that are best ignored while gestating. Once you get to the point of having to pick things up with your toes, it's best to just not look down anymore. I'm trying not to think about what is lurking under my childrens' beds but I figure it either still be there when I have time and energy to deal with it, or it will grow legs and leave. Either way, it's a win.
Oh geez. Sounds like my couch cushions. In-laws are coming for Easter. I have got to get this place under control. "Ha!" says the feverish snoring baby strapped to my back.

My kids are also quite indignant at being asked to contribute again as well. It's been a bit of a rude awakening for them.
Glad to hear you've got a few weeks of getting-shit-done time before the grindstone calls you back!
