last day of vacation
I've had two weeks off work and it's been nice to not have to listen for my phone and just have not to be 'on' all.the.time. I've stayed up very late at night, left my phone turned off in my purse while at the movie theater, and thoroughly enjoyed going to bed knowing that I'll be able to sleep all night, undisturbed ( Read more... ) -

Kim was home for a couple of days. She napped in the chair with the dog, braided her sister's hair, saw the new Spiderman movie with her dad, went out for supper with all of us, and I took her for some much needed clothes shopping. a holiday to recover from our holiday
Vacation is almost over and then it's back to work and being on call a lotThe girls have squabbled and whined but have enjoyed their vacation. Kids have a very different definition of vacation than adults do, that's for sure. Spring is here and I feel pretty confident that it's safe to pack away the winter gloves, finally. Charlotte was outside this afternoon with the sidewalk chalk, blowing bubbles, riding her bike, and playing on their swing set. Julia has strep throat. We sat in a crowded medi-clinic for more than an hour only to get a prescription that we couldn't get filled. After many attempted phone calls to the clinic and several chats with the pharmacist we took the original prescription to a compound pharmacy downtown to get it filled.
