He's already got one person torturing him, no need to add another. With Chloe's frame of mind, still not hoping out any hope. :( But well written chapter.
Thanks, Kimmy! I think it would be best to keep the truth from Pete, because I don't want everything spiralling out of control. They need to fix things, not make it worse.

Wow. This really is an incredible story, and Chloe's reaction is realistic given her understanding of the circumstances. I was glad to see Clark take responsibility, but as usual, he takes that too far and fails to share the important detail that Red K strips him of a good chunk of what makes him the character we know - his inhibitions. I'm curious to see where you take them.

Well, I think he knows it’s not a good enough excuse for starters. In fact, it works more against him that it does for him, because then she’ll think he’s always wanted to rape her but never had the guts! Best stay well away from that, I think. :-/

So, two hearts get broken. I'm especially sad on Pete's behalf. He's such a good, loyal friend, but he got stuck between a rock and a hard place, trying to play the mediator. And now his heart is about to get stomped on.:( I have no doubt Chloe will let him down as gently as possible, but I feel so sorry for the boy.
I feel sorry for Lana, too, despite the fact that I never liked the girl. She's broken too many hearts herself without caring too much, so I think it's fair she finally gets the taste of her own medicine. Clark gets the points for being honest. And for developing a better taste in women.:)
I'm very much looking forward to the next chapter. This is the first Chlark story I'm reading and commenting on - and I'm really enjoyng the experience!:)

Yay to Clark for finally telling the Pink Pwincess to take a hike. As to whether he loves Chloe, he’s not really sure yet, but he knows he feels more for Chloe than he does for Lana - so it’s a start. :-)
