Chapter 1

It was three months ago when the guilt he’d felt at Jimmy Olsen’s death had driven him to turn his back on humankind and throw himself into his destined training at the Fortress.  Little did he know that his strongest link to humanity lay beneath the cold, icy confines.

He’d been in the holographic chamber, receiving tutelage from the AI when he’d heard it.  A faint, thready human heartbeat that was far slower than it ought to have been, coming from several meters below where he was standing.

Immediately, he’d broken the connection with the learning program and stepped out of the holographic chamber, much to the consternation of his AI father.

“Kal-El, your decision to break from your training once again will have dire consequences -”

“I can’t just sit here while someone dies,” he growled, and proceeded to pound his way through the thickly compacted ice.  Metre after metre he smashed through as the heartbeat became louder and louder, until finally he spotted what looked like a hand in a dark sleeve frozen in a block of ice.

At the sight of the sleeve, Clark paled, his heart thumping so wildly he thought he might have a heart attack.

Lex.

“My God,” he whispered.

“Kal-El, if you disobey me one more time…”

The AI got no further.  With a snarl, Clark swept his hand across the crystal console with all his strength, reducing the unit to icy splinters.

Jor-El was gone.  And surprisingly, or maybe not so, Clark didn’t feel the slightest bit of grief.  Jor-El may have been his biological father, but this emotionless computer certainly wasn’t; and the only father he’d ever really known, Jonathan Kent, had passed away several years ago now.

Quickly he returned to the job of rescuing Lex.  Within moments, he’d made short work of the rest of the ice and then carried Lex’s stiff form to the other side of the Fortress.  He sat down and put his ear to Lex’s chest, and sure enough, his heart barely beating.

Carefully he cradled the older man in his arms and quickly divested him of his clothes, then he held Lex against him as he used his heat vision to create a deep pool of very warm water.  Next, he removed his own clothes in superspeed.  When he was completely unclothed, he carried the naked Lex into the steaming water and immersed him in up to his neck, holding the older man against his own body for shared warmth.

Clark had read somewhere that skin-to-skin contact had a healing quality all its own that belied scientific explanation.  On this occasion, the theory was ringing true, as the heart beating against his chest began to grow stronger.    After about ten minutes Lex began to stir, a low groan emanating from his throat as he gradually came around.

“That’s it,” Clark encouraged, rubbing his hand on Lex’s chest beneath the water, ostensibly to get the circulation pumping through the frozen limbs.  “Come on, Lex.  Open your eyes for me.”

Lex’s eyelids fluttered open and stared blankly in his direction.

“Look at me, Lex,” he said earnestly.  “It’s me; it’s Clark.  I found you, you’re gonna be okay.”

Lex blinked several times as his vision gradually snapped into focus.

“Clark?” he mumbled blearily.

Clark heaved a sigh of relief.  “Thank God you’re okay, Lex,” he murmured, stroking his cool cheek.  “We all thought you were dead.”

Despite having just coming out of hibernation, Lex, managed a rough chuckle.  “You can’t get rid of me that easily, Clark.”

“I don’t want to get rid of you at all, Lex,” he replied softly.  “It’s been kinda quiet without you around.”

Lex stared up at him, his usually steely eyes gentle.  “So you missed me, then?”

Clark smiled.  “In a weird way, yes.”

They stared at each other, and Clark suddenly realised that they were both naked in what was effectually a hot tub…and they had their arms around each other.  He gazed into Lex’s eyes, seeing them darken like ominous stormclouds on the horizon.

Lex was attracted to him.  And judging by the tightening in his own lower regions, he was getting turned on by Lex in turn.

Hw swallowed hard, numb with shock at his response to the other man’s nearness.  God, this was wrong on so many levels.  Lex was a guy, for starters.  Lex was his enemy, someone who fought for everything that he, Clark, stood up against.  Lex had done unspeakable things, had put him and his family in danger.  He’d kidnapped Chloe and experimented on her, and done the same to her mother.  He’d seduced Lana, and forced the poor girl into faking her own death to get away from him.  He’d caused heartbreak to thousands of others, and changed their lives in irreparable ways.

But everything he stacked up against Lex in his mind did nothing to stop the throbbing in his groin.

He wanted Lex, and wanted him badly.

Just then Lex shifted until he was in Clark’s lap, facing him directly.  He could feel Lex’s ass on his thighs, and…

Oh, God.  Lex’s cock was right up against his belly, prodding him insistently.

Clark swallowed hard.  There was no denying what was going on here, what was about to happen, and if there was ever a time to flee, this would be it.  But for the life of him, Clark couldn’t move away from Lex, didn’t want to.

Buoyed by the water Lex swayed towards him, leaning forward deliberately until his mouth brushed gently against Clark’s.

Clark gave a startled gasp at the brief contact, but Lex didn’t give him time to analyse and write himself out of the situation.  He lifted one hand out of the water and held Clark’s chin steady as he leaned in and pressed his lips firmly on Clark’s.

Clark moaned and shuddered, and Lex deepened the kiss, sweeping his tongue inside Clark’s mouth with deep, bold strokes.  Clark hesitantly opened his mouth wider, and Lex’s other arm went around him, and suddenly they were locked together in an urgent embrace, their tongues hotly entwined.

Clark had no idea how he’d gone from administering lifesaving treatment to making out with another man, but the riot of sensations coursing through him meant he was powerless to bring a stop to what was happening.  Lex worked one hand between them, and Clark felt it close firmly around his cock beneath the water.

He groaned loudly as Lex began to stroke him with sure fingers, moving up and down him with a firm hold.    The novelty of the situation as well as the sensations he was experiencing made Clark’s head spin, and he rapidly began tumbling out of control.

“Lex,” he whispered hoarsely.  “Lex…”

“That’s it, Clark,” he murmured, pumping him hard.  “Just let go.  Let go…”

The unbearable intensity built within him to breaking point, and then Clark exploded, a million and one sensations coursing through his nerves as he came hard.  He squeezed his eyes shut and made a series of noises as his cock jerked, spurting his come into the churning water as Lex relaxed his hold on him.

Gradually the intensity faded, and he breathed deeply, opening his eyes slowly as he returned to normal.  He shifted his gaze to the left, where Lex’s cool gray eyes studied him with interest and something akin to amusement.

“Well, well,” he drawled.  “This was unexpected.”

Clark stared back at Lex with growing horror.

Oh, God.

He’d just had a sexual encounter with a man.

And not just any man; Lex Luthor.  His nemesis, his polar opposite…and his sworn enemy.

Chapter 2...

Set me free, leave me be…

I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity
Here I am and I stand so tall, just the way I'm supposed to be,
But you're on to me and all over me...
