Sunday Brunch at PS Cafe

Had a lovely Sunday afternoon with my girlies today. Usually when we catch up it's always with our partners in tow so it was nice to just spend some time without the boys and indulge in girly conversations. There used to be a time when I bought an insane amount of makeup, for no other reason other than the fact that I like the packaging (think cutesy packagng like Stila limited edition items, Benefit etc). Diamonds are a girl's best friend

A few months ago I was talking to my mum about getting her jeweller to source some 0.5 carat diamonds for me to be made into studs earrings coz my current ones are rather small. Instead she said she had a pair (I think around 0.75 carat?) in the safe deposit box which she doesn't really wear and so I could have them instead. Score!

Unfortunately this year also marks the first year where we have to give out ang bao/lai see instead of receiving them. We managed to escaped last year coz we were in Sydney which meant the only ang baos we gave out were to my sister and Merrill's nephew and niece.
