Tough call between the two. Both are amazing! good work. I lean to the top one thats straight for a couple of reasons. By cropping out the sky the textures are accentuated. Also, there's an order/chaos dichotomy going on that can be seen better.

What was I thinking telling you to go into city creek canyon for photos, this is soooo much more your forte

i have to say taht the first one rocks b/c you get a much better view of the bldg. By cropping out the sky, you notice a lot more texture within the bldg and get a better sense of emptiness and abandonment.
HOWEVER, i think you could do a lot by including a bit of sky. maybe try something btwn the two?

Actually, I kinda like it being a little slanted. It sort of enhances the "everything falling apart" feeling I get from it.

see, that's what i thought, too. i actually took the pic on a slant...
but every single other person who looked at it told me to straighten it up, and, yeah, it does kind of look like it's crooked on accident.
thanks for the comment, i'm happy that that's what you got from this pic b/c everything falling apart is exactly what i was going for.

Perhaps if you exaggerated the tilt even more, or did something else to make it clear that it was deliberate...?

i don't know anything about composition, but i like the first one best. it's more subtle.

whatever it takes, i'm willing to do. i owe both of you apologies, at the very least and i would like to make amends with both of you. this is the only contact info that i have...i didn't know how else to start the process of making amends.
if either of you are willing to let me apologize and being making amends, please let me know. i respect your decision either way.

i don't think there is much that can be done, at least for me. Too much happened and continued to happen after the fact. I watched you do some pretty terrible things to j and linus, two people who were once your good friends, and I don't think I can forgive that.
If you just want to explain, that is fine, but I don't think full amends will ever be made.
good luck, chrys
