I need help with transfering my daughter off the bottle and onto the sippy cup. She doesn't care for milk and she will only drink from a cup if the spill-proof thingy is off and the cup is dumping into her mouth. Then she gets ticked and throws it away from her. My son drank from a straw very early on so he used the straw cup until he got older

And about the cups...I weaned Amy with the cheap-o spill "resistant" cups. You know, the plain old plastic ones with a lid that has a mouth piece with a slit in it. (The kind they sell at the Dollar Tree in 3 packs.) I tried taking the plastic thing out of the spill-proof sippies too, but then the milk pours out way too fast and chokes the poor kid, as I'm sure you've noticed. The simplier cups control the liquid so it doesn't come out quite so quickly, but without plugging it up so they have to suck on it.(I think spill-proof sippies seem to be glorified bottles, anyway)
My daughter loves these cups; once she got the hang of them she weaned herself at 11 months because she prefered to drink a cup over a bottle.(But she has a fiercely independent streak...wonder where she gets that =)
Of course, with these they can still turn it upside down and shake it out, but hey, there's upsides and downsides to everything.

PS: I love that picture of my daughter too. She was only a month old and she only made goofy faces.
