College athletics are a lot tougher than high school, I can attest to that. And it takes a serious commitment of both time and effort. I don't run everyday because I want to. I have to, and there it is. But the driving force, to keep me going through injuries, bad races, bad practices, is the will to win, to compete, and to prove to myself and everyone else that I can do it. And yeah, Eastern might just be Eastern, but the bball team was MAC champs last year, so that's a pretty big deal. But don't try out to appease everyone else. Try out to prove to yourself that you can do it. As Wayne Gretzky once said, "You miss 100% of the shots you never take." Good luck, I'm sure you'll do great and probably surprise a lot of people.
