no joke i was looking at apartments in dfw yesterday (and jobs in the surrounding area). i wonder how hard it really would be to move myself there!

Well, depends on how much money you've got to spend moving yourself. ;D When we moved back from Michigan we put most of our stuff on an ABF UPack truck. They charge based on how many feet of the truck you use. We didn't have much stuff (because we didn't take furniture) so we only used their minimum charge of $750 for 5 feet. (It's 5 feet of horizontal space on the floor of the truck - you can still stack as high and wide as the truck is - which is 9' and 8'). Then we spent three days driving back so we paid for two nights in a hotel, plus gas and food
