I like that this is a story about how you could be fracked over if you aren't a trusting sort. I mean, Milo fracked up but good with that. I mean, literally, all he had to do was what the man said...but no. I'm curious if after 44 years of thinking on it, if Milo will actually trust him the second time.

Ah Milo! Your name always makes me think of that crazy Phantom Tollbooth book, but it's harder to sympathize with you when you're a hoodlum that's run out on your girl.

I really enjoyed this! The picture you painted was vivid and fun.

Hehe. Oh man, I loved the phantom Tollbooth. My character, the Night Man, was originally inspired by the Terrible Tedium from the movie. But I totally forgot about the main character being named Milo. I was actually thinking of the old kids movie, Milo and Ottis... cause I'm a dork. Glad you enjoyed the story and hope you continue reading!
