i hate literature and poetry that take ages for the author to convey his/her point. if it's all about humanity and such, why not just write it the fuck down with as little symbolism and needless characters and references and subplots and metaphors as possible? i suppose some people prefer to understand racism through a 600-page novel like invisible

yeah, but i like mark twain. putting that book into the picture, i guess people write fiction to get their message across to punks who are too lazy to find it out in any other way.
