I figured you would also want to know where to get good yarn near your new home.
I found two shops near Hightstown and EW - the Glenmarle Woodworks in Princeton and Chadwick Square on Route 9 in Freehold. I have not been to either one so I cannot comment on quality of stock, prices, etc.
If you need a Michael's, there is one in the Hamilton Marketplace, only about 15 - 20 minutes away on Route 130 South. There is also one in the Nassau Park shopping plaza in Princeton (off of Route 1).
Wal-Mart in East Windsor also carries some yarn and and knitting supplies, mostly Red Heart.
Remember that you are not far from Princeton Junction train station (15 minutes away) and you can take NJT to New York or NJT/Septa to Philadelphia. (About 1 hour to get to each.) I have an LYS in each city (The Point in NYC, Sophie's Yarns in Philadelphia) and like to visit those instead.
