The least British person in the house
So it comes as no surprise that I am the person in the house with the least bit of British dNa. Sad but true. My mother pulls in at 97.6%, followed by Lewis's 86%, London's 72%, India's 65% and mine is a pathetic 43%. Well. It is especially horrid because I love England and always feel like I belong there- and not here. Ugh. Stupid DNA.

It has been almost a decade since I have posted anything. I guess I made the switch over to HellBook, I mean FaceBook to stay in contact with friends and who ever reads these things anyway. So today was a beautiful blue day- not a single cloud in the sky. I have tons of energy. Despite everything that has been going on at work (all the crazy has floated to the surface) and at home... I got written up today for being out sick for two days prior to break... I had a 103 fever and was coughing up green stuff. Not exactly very nice. But still. I got written up and while there is no actual recourse they can take- it is a warning to not be out of work any more. It isn't like I take spa days... Okay. I am 34. I am freaking tired. I am wiped out. But I am not done. I have two little girls to look after, and a husband to annoy. I have a cat who is my shadow. I have a dog who will only eat when I am home. I have a mother who only has one child, and a grandmother who only has one grand daughter. I have things to do.

summertime and the feeling is steamy...
So I am working the summer program, thankfully not as a teacher (though it would be nice to be paid as one) but as an assistant. The kids read for 40 minutes, we discuss it. Then 20 minutes of break, then we do some math (I don't do math...) and then play games- some of them go to therapy, and some of them stay. Today will be Monopoly. I really am ( Read more... ) -

tuesday could be the new friday if it were a 2 day week....
I got 2 hours of sleep last night. And that was when I curled up on the couch at 945 after having finally done my day. Karen and I went out Saturday night to a not-so nearby bar... I had two rather large Jack and Gingers... and the rest of the night was fun. Dancing was involved. We stayed until the bar closed... at 2am. Got home by 3am. And slept for 2 hours before both kids were up... what ensued was a day of zombie-like concentration and monotony.
