I have bad knees. Years of abuse has made them so, the right is worse than the left. Lately they've been getting much worse at a faster rate than usual. I acknowledge that it's inevitable that they'll just totally crap out (especially the right one) and it's surgery and rehab for me, but I'm determined to get as many years between now and then as ( Read more... )

Have you tried massage therapy? Many (not all) problems with knees begin with problems with the Quadriceps and Sartorious muscles. When they get tired and overworked, they shorten to protect themselves - and wouldn't you know - they tie down at the knee. When these muscles shorten they inhibit mobility of the knee.

This may not be the solution to your problem, but it is worth looking in to. It worked for me and my knee issues.

Dropping weight is also a good plan. For every pound you drop is several less pounds of force your knees have to endure.
