Though it's now a month and a half overdue, I've finally put together my Best-of-the-Year-That-Was-Ought-Four List. I honestly can't say I've been too busy to do this earlier, but these Boston winters take a mighty toll on one's motivation. I know what dirgibles mean. That is so weird to see Joanna Newsome's name mentioned like that. I went to school with her, had drama with her, was in plays with her and after high school worked with her at cafe mekka for a bit. Every guy instantly loved her including my best friend which made me insanely jealous. I haven't thought of her in while...

Haha, wow. You get the full 10 points! So I can tell people that I sorta/kinda know someone who once went to school with her? Sweet! But seriously, I don't know many contemporary musicians (can't even name one of the top of my head) who are able to write such poetic lyrics. She's created quite a buzz in the indie music world.

I suppose I should give you credit for my lil' South Park icon since I totally copped the link off your journal. I had seen the older version that's still on the Comedy Central site, but version 2 is way better. Cheers :p

I remember her doing music before, it was always so suiting that she played the harp. I had heard from someone else that she had played some shows in Boston and it shouldn't suprise me that she's made a name for herself. Joanna was always great at anything she did. Even her handwriting has a cute whimsical look to it. Huh, if I'm ever in the area I should look her up sometime. That is just so weird.

Version 2 is waaay better. I dig your icon!
