somewhat depressing: consider yourself warned!

I can't believe how disconnected I am feeling today. It is a culmination of my feelings from various relationships over the past few months. For some reason I can't seem to 'click' with people I would really like to have relationship with. Now I am left with the idea that I need to make a choice ( Read more... )

*BIG HUG* Sweetie, I don't know where that time you're investing is going, but everyone I know (me included) loves spending time with you and adores you so very much. If there's ladies or gents not appreciating your time then perhaps it is not meant to be right now? More time for us, says I!
Everyone has off days. The sun does come out, but sometimes it takes a while. If you need a hand to pull you out of it, or someone to nuzzle and cuddle you through it, lemme know.

That is very kind of you thank you. And of course you are always allowed into that 2ft of personal space I own. I think it's just a 'woe is me pity party'. You are welcome to attend or, preferably invite me to a different one of your choosing.

The rain is probably just getting to me.

;-)

Thanks for reading the post and responding to it.

I've found that I sometimes have unreasonably high hopes for "intensity of interaction" with people which causes a positive feedback loop... my anxiety at the perception of distance creates more distance.

I've found myself in this loop a lot, but less so recently after lots of therapy... ;-)

Easiest way to "click" is to not worry about it. Be the wonderful person you are without forcing yourself to entertain the crowd and ask directly for what you would like from others.

I, incidentially, think you're awesome!

It will get better. Remember how much you are loved by those around you who you value most. Sometimes it just takes time for people to warm up, relax and be themselves. Worry less about it and just be you. And no more projects! Aren't you busy enough these days? Throw your self into your friends and family instead - it's way more fun! ;-)
