I actually have some free time, so thought I would read up and post something. I am on days this week, a lot slower in the ER than being on nights. Last week was a nightmare, ended most days working thru until 2 AM. Basketball injuries, diving injuries, delivered 3 babies, a 15 yr old, a 17 year old and a 19 year old. 5am, and another snowy morning. Snow all day actually. It was a quiet night in the ER last night, actually got home for dinner, then we went out and bought a new car. My lease was up on the Tahoe, so I dumped the gas guzzler, and got a new Hyundai Santa Fe Ex. I am impressed so far, will find out this morning how it handles in the snow. Wow, its been awhile. I'm in the pediatric ER rotation, and its been busy as hell. A lot of broken arms, legs, and collar bones from sledding accidents, plus a lot of kids in auto accidents, what with all the snow we have had up here. Angi's Irish dance studios have dance offs the next three weeks, and she has been going to the extra classes to hone her skills. Wow, where to start. Well, about 3 weeks ago Angi broke her collar bone while we were out sledding. She was walking up the hill, and a boy coming down, hit her, and sent her flying, landing on her left shoulder. Now, trying to keep her arm in a sling is driving me nuts. I haven't updated because of fear I guess, things seemed to be going all wrong, but are pretty much ok, at least for the time being. Meg had an accident, a bunch of high school girls ran a red light, and into the side of her car. She was hospitalized for two weeks, and we have been there for the most part. I was really lax in updating this. We have been working on the house, painting the outside trim, and most of the rooms inside. Got new kitchen cabinates, and counter top. days just seem to go by us anymore. It must be the week-end, because we are off, and are about to leave to go pick up Angi. Its a beautiful day here, its going to be in the 80's so it will be a nice day for a trip down to the finger lakes, its such a beautiful drive, down thru wine country, and the lakes regions.
