I just got home from the emergency vet. I found a little black kitten in my neighbor's yard with one of its front paws stuck in a mousetrap on the other side of a chain-link fence--that is, the kitten was on one side of the fence and the mousetrap was on the other. I managed to get the paw out of the mousetrap, but I could tell immediately the

There was no way I could walk away from that. I can't see how anyone could.

Yep. I didn't know you had the option to turn in injured animals that way. I was prepared to pay for the euthanasia or other treatment, but it's nice to know that people can bring in an animal in trouble without having to worry if they're going to be on the hook financially.
