...has hit me like a ton of bricks. My wife and kids met me for lunch Monday and she asked if I was going for a "combover" look, then the kids almost pulled me over jumping on me in the parking lot and something misfired in my back which has left me limping in a progressively worse manner for the rest of the week

Aw. It's not really that bad, little brother. :-)

Although I admit that I keep thinking about "how many more times will I really see these people" with some of the Oz folks. :-/

Good luck with your back. Go get it looked at if it's not better by this weekend.

Getting better, thanks...More generally, I know I'm absurdly lucky in the grand scheme of things. It's just sad to stand at the midpoint of life (knocking furiously on wood) and see the cone of possibilities starting to narrow again as you head towards the far end.
