It was to the point that his doctors had him on suicide watch while I was away visiting Namine on her vacation and when I got back and he wasn't home... Well, I don't know if this would be the right thing to say, but, if you need time off from school...I think you should take it. A break isn't the same as dropping out, and you'll miss only one semester. As long as you're willing to continue in the long run, and aren't doing it because you're giving up, then I can't see anything wrong. You can even settle something with the Dean. Someone important needs you, and I think that's reason enough. Depression can be dangerous, Pence, it's hard to leave anyone alone at a time like that. It's up to you, yet I just hope things work out.

On a more lighter topic, it's been a long time since I've ate anything from you! Let's hang out this weekend?

Dad's really worrying me... You know how he is about the restaurant! He treats it like a member of the family. I've suggested that he rebuild and start over, but the insurance money just isn't enough, unfortunately. I don't know if I want to take the time off, though... I know it's awful, but at least I'm still living at home and will be there most of the time, yeah?

We should go do something! We haven't actually done anything together in forever! Let's make this a great weekend before it's back to the grind on Monday!

I know how he felt for that restaurant, and I know him too. Which is why I'm worried. I can help you with the insurance money, if it's okay. He can build an exact replica of Serenity if he wanted. Bring me the papers, and it's done. Whatever can get him off this funk, the better.

And as I've said, it's up to you if you want time off or not. You got a point that you can stay home most of the day. Just remember that, if things get hectic, and you need a break, don't feel unsure doing so. It's understandable.

I forgot we were starting school on Monday. But we definitely need to hang out before then! It's been way too long. We can browse through the town,or go somewhere driving. See and visit old sites. Summer is ending, so we should make it worth it.

We've had a couple people offer to help rebuild for free, Namine's father included, but he says that he's not a charity case and that he doesn't need help. I'm seriously thinking about doing it and not telling him until it's all finished.

We do need to do something today! Just pick it and we'll do it! But, this is you we're talking about, sea salt ice cream is going to be a part of whatever we do!

I know I hurt you, Namine. And I know I'm an idiot for doing that. I over reacted and didn't give you time to explain. If you had told me when you had your vision, I would have been on edge forever until it actually happened and things would have probably been worse than they were...

Like I told you, my dad has offered to help rebuild the restaurant and he can get the building materials donated from friends whose bikes he's repaired for them. Just say the word and I know he'll get right on it...

Yes, they want me. The gift I have is valuable to people who want to hurt others, so I'm going to be hunted for a while yet. And why are you apologising? You didn't send those men to get me...

Pence... I miss you, I do, but these visions... you can't expect me to be able to stop all the bad things in the world from happening... Some things, even bad things, are just meant to happen...

I overreacted that day. I know that. You've told me before that your visions don't come with dates and times and that you don't know when things are going to happen, if they're going to happen at all...

I mentioned the rebuilding to dad and he wasn't so happy with the idea... I'm thinking about just doing it anyways and just not letting him know until it's done. He can kill me later for it...

I miss you too... and I know you can't stop the bad things from happening. Without the bad, there wouldn't be good.. you can't have one without the other...

Pence, your father does indeed love you more than the restaurant. He has lost another piece of his life, of his routine, even, to a horrible tragedy that no one could predict. I'm sure you mean the world to him, Pence, but he's just a tad caught up in losing what helped him cope for all these years.

If you need any help when (or if) you decide to rebuild, I humbly offer my services to you, and I'm sure Father will do the same.
