My boss is a workaholic. He has built up 20 weeks of vacation time! We were all shocked when he took today off.

If you want to go the maternity leave route, let me know. I can contribute to the fun part of that.

We can only build up 30 days of vacation time.

I'm not looking to go that route.

My maternal grandfather had to unofficially retire and stop going to work a full six months before his official retirement date because of all the sick time he'd accrued back in the days when there were no limits on rolling over paid leave from previous years. I guess that's what used to happen when someone didn't call in sick for 34 years.
