I'm sitting at this keyboard and my fingertips are freezing, but the sun is shining. There's one bird chirping very loudly right outside the window. It's a beautiful sound that reminds me of what spring is all about and it makes me long for that kind of freedom.

So much for the end of snow. I woke up this morning and everything is covered again. It's thick fluffly snow, all stuck to the trees and everything. Perfect for sled riding and snowmen. It's very pretty and sure beats sleet and ice. I had no idea this was coming.

Creamy Cinnamon Fruit Dip

1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp orange juice
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese softened
2 T brown sugar
2 T milk
1 tsp cinnamon

beat on low speed in medium bowl until smooth

spoon into serving dish, cover and refrigerate

serve with various fruit (apples)

I woke up this morning at 1:30 to the sound of Rachel puking. Without going into details it took almost an hour to clean up the whole mess. I think she's thrown up about 6 times since then but I'm starting to give up on counting. I think I managed to get all of 2 hours of sleep. Well, crap. I signed on just to read my e-mail and saw the news about Heath Ledger. I'm just shocked. He was such a talented actor. I figured he was one of those actors whose careers would last a lifetime...who knew his lifetime would be so short? How very sad.

This will officially be my last post of 2007. While tomorrow is only a day away (breaks into Annie song), it always makes me sad to leave one year and enter another.
