Summertime

Jun 01, 2001 22:07

School has been out for a couple days now, and I still can't get used to the idea that it's summer. Perhaps because it's been so rainy and chilly everyday. Anyway, to keep myself on track I decided to make a list of all the things I hope to accomplish this summer ( Read more... )

I made a deal with myself to never post in Mikey's friend journals, but yours is too much. Are you a real person? This journal scares me.

I read a little of your journal and you seem like a genuinely innocent person, I cannot fault you for that, and hence apologize for attacking you ( ... )

Ok, thanks for apologizing, and I accept your apology. While I may be innocent, I am not as naive as you think I am. First of all, I DON'T trust many guys. A guy has to earn my trust. I'm pretty picky about that. Second, I have tried to change people (ex-boyfriends and such) in the past and I know first-hand that it only backfires. And I'm already 2 steps ahead of ya, I have a set of principles that I follow, only it's not written down, it's in my head. Writing them down is a good idea though. My mom was in a sorority and didn't really like it much, but you're right, I've already considered joining one. I would enjoy the gettting drunk part, but not the getting fucked over part. Lastly, I haven't watched MTV in years. I don't like most of the music they play on there or the radio, aside from a few exceptions. I like a variety of music, but my favorites are Phish, Grateful Dead, Dave Matthews, Pearl Jam, Ben Folds Five, The Beatles, Fiona Apple, etc...I don't really watch too much TV either. I liked Full House when it was still on the ( ... )

I am debating about the reccomendations, you don't know me, none of them do, though they think I am this Mike O. (I hope they don't beat him up). Nonetheless if I reveal much about myself it can serve to reveal who I am. I will give you a fairly generic reccomendation for music though, Radiohead. Don't know if you have listened and dismissed them yet, but check them out. Try The Bends first, then move to OK Computer, which I think is the best album ever, then move on from there. What books did you enjoy reading?

I like Radiohead a lot. I used to have Pablo Honey, but my ex boyfriend borrowed it and still hasn't given it back. The best book that I've read recently was Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and no, I've never seen the movie. I also like stuff by Anne Rice, such as Interview with the Vampire, The Witching Hour, and The Violin. I haven't seen any of the movies for those either. My favorite book of all time is To Kill a Mockingbird. I'm reading Wuthering Heights for English right now. I usually don't like books that are assigned, but this one is pretty interesting. Don't worry about revealing yourself, no one really reads my journal anyway and I've been looking for some new books to try.

The title is "Summer time" is that said in the tone of voice like that Will Smiff song "Gettin Jiggy Wiffit"? If so, that's funny.

Hey, call me Mikey.
Hell, Olive does.

Hey Mikey why don't you allow me to post in your journal anymore? How hard would it be for me to make up another journal and post? Not too hard, but I don't feel like wasting my time....just yet.

You were saying? bobbyjones1201 June 14 2001, 18:16:33 UTC
Yes, no one reads your journal, except for Mikey. Anyways Pablo Honey is utter shite compared to The Bends or OK Computer, please check out OK Computer it is an acquired taste, but damn that is an amazing album ( ... )

I'm not too picky about movies. I like anything that makes me laugh, cry, think, etc.
