Teresa, I am deeply sorrowing for all you are going through. And I understand everything, everything you wrote, except one thing: this is not your failure, and you did not fail miserably. You did not fail at all. You succeeded gloriously in living in a faithful, loving, trusting relationship that lasted years despite many adverse circumstances. That's amazing and you deserve credit for it. Nothing YOU did ended it. So hold your head high and be proud of yourself, girl!!!

T, I know how you feel. Having a long-term, long distance relationship end is the hardest thing in the world, especially when it had such potential to last. As someone who was where you are a year ago, I can tell you from experience that it will get easier, and though you don't believe it you will move on. If I can, then I know you can. You are strong and intelligent and beautiful, and you know yourself well enough to dig in and get through this. Hang in there - it only gets easier.

Everyone is going to tell you lots of things, but I'll say three.

1) I know that breaking up a long term relationship over a huge distance hurts too much for English to describe so I won't try, but I do know.

2) You can beat the crap out of punching bags - they have them at gyms sometimes.

I know but the problem is that I don´t punch well so I can´t hit with all my strength without hurting myself.

...Not that I´ve ever tried punching a punching bag before to get my anger out...
